Review this job site: http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/

I just finished up a job site that could use a little review/critique if you're up to it. This is a demo site, so you (hopefully) can't break it by adding/deleting jobs and resumes.

http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/

Admin page is:

http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/admin_index.php

Login: user
Password: password

Keyword searching may not be right on, as there are only 5 entries and it uses MySQL FULLTEXT searching.

Let me know if you spot any design or logic errors. Submit any forms and restore any of the database you want. Restoring it to today's (9/15) database will reset it back to normal. :)

Thanks.

Admin tool:

Under 'Navigation':
> Post Job link does not function properly. Nothing really seems to happen.

> OK. Search doesn't work, either. I'm moving on to something else now.

Under 'Administration'
> Open and Closed job links function fine. Everything else appears non-functional.

Under 'Newest job Postings'
> Links to 2 new resumes does not take you anywhere.

Jobs site:
> Text is rather small. (Screen shot attached)
> Search engine works, sort of. Tells me it found 2 jobs and 1 resume for a search, but there are no results printed, nor a link to where I could see them. Did I miss something in the form? I resubmit the form w/ 'full time' checked, no difference in the behavior.
> I was able to submit a resume w/ the email address 'bob@bob.bob'. :D
> After submitting the resume, I just get a 'thank you' message. Shoot. Did I type in my address correctly? It would be great if the form let me know what I just typed in, so I don't have to hit the 'back' button to verify.

I hope some of that is useful... :)

When did you try this out? Navigation links are working as of now. The realxl server has been flaky, lately, so maybe that was causing issues. The links work.

Not "non-functional", just that there were no jobs/resumes matching the status (open, closed, etc, whatever you picked). I added some extra messages in there to make that clear now. Did you mean the Database and Layout links were not working? They are.

Not sure about this one. Resumes do not show under "newest jobs"...

What did you search for? If you pull up the search page, it'll tell you how many jobs/resumes are in the database. Then you choose what you want to search for and optionally choose category, location, job type, and search text. Choosing just "Jobs" in the first radio button and hitting search should pull up all jobs. Choosing "Resumes" and clicking search should pull up all resumes.

Yeah, I'm not losing any sleep over that. :) I'm just checking for something@something and could care less if it's your real email or not. People are paying for job postings, so they can post a bad address if they want. :)

It would have told you if anything was wrong. Try submitting an empty form for an example. The site owner can "customize" the thank you message as it's a simple Smarty template.

I hope some of that is useful... :) Extremely, although I'm wondering if you just tested it when the server sucked. :)

I do appreciate you looking it over. Is it any better now?

Okay... duh! I had a forward slash on the end of the admin URL, making it admin_index.php/, so it was messing things up. URL is corrected now. Bad typo, sorry.
