a console app in kylix i created when started gives off this message
Cannot connect to X server
cant work out why.....
any ideas...
also took ages to find a kylix forum, rare things still

Oddly enough, some non-visual components seem to require X server to be running to function, like the Indy components. Are you using something like that on your console app?
yeah unfortunitly i dont liek working raw sockets, i have had bad experiances with them.
i assue there would be a way to work out the X stuff
