Miscellaneous Hacks - Notification: Group Membership requests

This plugin displays open Group Membership request in notification area of vBulletin 3.7.x

If there is only 1 request open there is a link directly to the group membership approval form, if more or zero it leads to the edit group memberships form.

It adds 1 query to every page.

whoa!... must be by default in vbulletin. :)

whoa!... must be by default in vbulletin. :)

absolutely :)

however i've tested THIS (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=126047) on my Beta 4 and it runs correctly w/out any trouble ... also this gives a PM to the UG Leader ... maybe the developer can improve his hack?

Can you create one for 3.6.8 version this is something that i'm looking for.

Yes, I used that hack before, it's great. But with the notification I prefer to have a message only in one way, not two (PM+Notification)

Can you create one for 3.6.8 version this is something that i'm looking for.
That's not possible without re-coding the notification in the navbar for 3.6.8 - the notification area has been introduced since 3.7

If the person is a leader of more then one usergroup it should send them to editusergroups page or somehow seperate on a per usergroup basis.

Thank you very much.

Could you please add to that something like 'Unread Picture Comments" but for groups?

This didn't work for me on 3.7.1. Maybe cuz I already have the moods mod?

ty for sharing this

little issue with vbadvanced CMPS.

a /forum/ or a $vboptions[bburl]/ is to be fitted somewhere to solve the issue.

any hints?

*installed (on vb371)

edit: also notification is not red flashing as others and if more than 1 requests are waiting then it shows them one by one (eg. it wont show that 3 requests are waiting - but 3 times that 1 request is waiting)

I fixed vbacmps path issue (at least apparently) is that ok?

find and change:

Find$groupurl = "joinrequests.php?usergroupid=".$request['GroupID'];

Replace with $groupurl = "$vboptions[bburl]/forum/joinrequests.php?usergroupid=".$request['GroupID'];

Find$groupurl = "profile.php?do=editusergroups";

Replace with $groupurl = "$vboptions[bburl]/forum/profile.php?do=editusergroups";

Silvio I updated this mod to allow for more then one usergroup.

Works perfectly, thank you. :)

Thank you so much :D this was nice!

does this work on 4 or does anyone one know one that does?

I have downloaded this mod, but how do I install it

admincp > plugins & products > manage products > Add/Import product.
