$50 to hack cgi irc script to run faster

i have $50 job to hack cgi irc script to run faster

you can get the script here http://cgiirc.org/download/ (http://cgiirc.org/download/)

the most famous site that using cgi irc script is www.ircatwork.com (http://www.ircatwork.com/)

i need it to run faster in bussiest channel in my country, usually 1000+ person at working hours :
server irc.dal.net
channel #jakarta

i realize what make the script very slow is because each new people has joined #jakarta or left that channel make the page very slowly in the page channel #jakarta

the page channel screenshot :

so maybe you can stop the page channel refresh to loading each new people join or left and others message in the page channel, but make sure all people that join before us are still stored

people that join the channel before us screenshot :

if you have others idea to make it faster without removing more joining people it will great too

let me know if you need something

up i still dont find the coder, pm me if you need some question

I think the issue is your price expectation. Code optimization is not a trivial task and can take a long time to track down.

It usually follows the 80-20 rule. Your going to get 80% of your work done in 20% of the time and 20% done in 80% of the time. Since you already have a functioning system, you've already hit the 80% done, so now you have 80% of the time left in the project.

MY guess (and this is just a guess) is that it would take an experienced coder a few hours to understand the system, then a few more to track down the problem. Paying $50 for 5 - 10 hours of work probably won't get you many responses.
