qt or gtk?

hey,
im planning to code myself a gui application in python and as im planning to make it portable for unix and windows, im choosing between qt and gtk. what are your opinions on which one would be better and why?

thanks in advance ;)

Why don't you try wxpython?

Qt works quite well with python on both windows and unix. That's what we use at work for developing our GUI's.

Correct however QT has a simple license if you make money with your product so do we (on the license) and if not not!

Huh? QT does not make money off the products of our company.

I was under the impression that in order to sell/distribute software made with QT you needed a commerical license from them?

Yes you would need a commerical license. No it doesn't mean they are now entitled to a percentage of your profits from the products you make.

what he meant by that is if you sell your products you need to acquire that license there for the license brings them money from you selling your product.

Be very careful I know someone who found themselves in hot water for operating without a licence
